Continuing Angel and Eve's story from Severed Angel.

Eve returns home unaware danger is hot on her heels. Will Satan get the revenge he seeks, will Angel save the woman he loves or will Ink get the woman he deserves.

The nail biting conclusion to the story that crosses two continents...

Book Two in a two part story.

*** CONTAINS ADULT THEMES AND MATERIAL - OVER 18's ONLY ***

CARNAL DESIRE continues where Severed Angel left off. Eve is going home to her young daughter, not knowing that Satan is following close behind. Closer than she ever thought possible. Angel is frantic to get to Eve before Satan can hurt her or her daughter and mother. The race to protect Eve ends with her and her daughter moving to Australia to be with Angel and the Severed MC, but Satan isn't going to give up that easily. No one is safe when Satan is roaming around, watching and waiting for his chance to strike.

Oh! My! Goodness! I cannot say enough how much I freaking love this series! CARNAL DESIRE is even more gripping and intense than Severed Angel. I was left holding my breath at times, my heart would race as the final showdown approached, and the love and passion is sizzling.

I really liked that Ink got his own POV in this book and started a relationship with Elle, a woman Eve met on her plane ride back to England.

There is a rat within the Severed MC, and when his POV comes up, we don't know who it is until toward the end of the book. But let me tell you, it wasn't at all who I thought it would be. I was completely surprised and shocked at who is was revealed to be. The final outcome of this man's choice is really heartbreaking, so make sure you have some Kleenex ready.

A new member to the Severed MC is introduced in CARNAL DESIRE by the name of Justice. Luckily, we get to read his story in the next book, Severed Justice. So looking forward to it!

Eve: Heartbroken at having to leave Angel behind, but needs to be with her daughter. Feels relieves knowing that Satan can't come after her anymore, but when she sees Angel in England telling her that Satan is now free, she's terrified for her daughter and mother. Moves to Australia with her daughter to be with Angel and have the protection of the Severed MC. Her love for Angel grows when she see how he is with her daughter and she knows that she'll not be able to leave him again.

Angel: Terrified that Satan will get to Eve before he can. When he gets to her he insists, more like demands, that she and her daughter come live with him in Australia where he and the Severed MC can protect them. He doesn't plan on letting Eve go again and he absolutely adores her daughter. When all things are finished and they are safe, he plans on buying the three of them a house to live in together.

Ink: Feels an instant attraction to Eve's friend Elle. They travel for a little while together after Angel takes Eve back to Australia, and they have a good time. But when they both arrive in Australia, things between them get more serious, Ink freaks, and does something stupid.

Elle: Met Eve on their plane ride to England. She's wanted to meet Ink ever since she was shown pictures from Eve's phone. When she finally does meet him, she's smitten. But as her feelings for Ink grow, her past comes back to haunt her. When she catches Ink's betrayal, she's so hurt that she leaves him and the clubhouse.

Satan: He's quite literally going insane.

Once again, Satan shows how truly evil he is in CARNAL DESIRE. But this time around, we see the true depths of his depravity. He is a truly terrifying villain to read. I don't want to go into much about it, but I'll just say that if you thought that he was a sick, twisted freak in Severed Angel, he is way worse in CARNAL DESIRE. Just a word of warning, that when you read his POV you may need to brace yourselves for it.

CARNAL DESIRE shows the solidification of Angel's and Eve's relationship. They are closer than ever in this book, and I absolutely loved seeing how Angel interacted with Eve's daughter. He truly loves that little girl and he plans on making sure that they all stay together as a family once Satan is dealt with. Their relationship is still hot and steamy, but this time there is a sweetness added to it that I couldn't help but love.

I really enjoyed reading about Ink's and Elle's relationship. It's passionate, but also rocky ground for them. Especially when things begin to become serious and their pasts get in the way. It takes a little intervention on Eve's part to get them to try and fix things.

Book one of a two part story.

*** CONTAINS ADULT THEMES AND MATERIAL - OVER 18's ONLY ***

In SEVERED ANGEL, Eve goes to Australia for her best friend's wedding, but on the way to her house, Eve runs into trouble with the Carnal MC and their Vice President, Satan. Carnal is the rival to the Severed MC that Eve's best friend's fiance is the President of. When Severed arrives to help Eve out of a deadly situation with Carnal, she meets Angel, the Vice President of Severed. But it brings her no comfort, because he looks exactly like the one who threatened to kill her. Turns out that Satan of Carnal and Angel of Severed are twins, and a war between the two MC's is brewing, with Eve in the middle.

I found SEVERED ANGEL to be a very intense, but gripping story. There are some pretty graphic scenes, hence the 18+ warning.

This story is basically like a sibling rivalry, and in a sense it is. Angel and Satan were never close, even though they are twins, and they are always at each other's throats. so it makes sense that they would be in rival MC's. Add in a murder witness and love interest, and you have a war on your hands.

There is a HUGE cliffhanger at the end of SEVERED ANGEL. I was just like screaming, You have got to be kidding me! It can't end like this! How long do I have to wait for the next book?! So just by that, you can tell that I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series.

The Guy: Gabe was given the name "Angel" when he was patched into the Severed MC, and is now the Vice President of the club. He has a deadly sibling rivalry with his twin brother Kellan, also known as "Satan," who is the Vice President of their rival MC Carnal. After a gruesome incident involving his previous "old lady," at the hands of his brother, Angel hasn't let himself fall in love again. But with the arrival of Eve, that all changes, for better and worse.

The Girl: Eve left her young daughter in England, to go to Australia for her best friend's wedding. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. She ends up lost and in Carnal territory, witnesses and murder, is almost killed by a man named Satan, and the saved by another named Angel, who looks exactly like her would-be killer. This thrusts her into the middle of an MC war, because Satan will not give up until she is dead and Angel will do anything to protect her.

Satan is just as his name would make you imagine. He is evil to the core. He has done so many gruesome and unspeakably heinous things, and a lot of them just to hurt his twin brother Angel. At the center of his motivation to make Angel suffer is jealousy. He felt like the one unwanted and unloved. So he wants to make Angel suffer as he did.

The one thing that we see that Satan did to hurt Angel the most involved Angel's old lady, Beth. I won't go into specifics, because it's one of the graphic scenes I was talking about, but it's very gruesome and horrifying. And he video recorded it all just for Angel to see, and those images still haunt Angel to this day.

When Eve witnesses a murder that Satan and his Carnal buddies committed, he's determined to kill her too. He never leaves a witness alive. But then Angel and the Severed MC come to save her, and he loses his chance. But that doesn't mean that he's given up. Not by a long shot. And the fact that Angel is the one protecting her, shows him another way to hurt his brother.

The romance between Eve and Angel doesn't start on a good note. It really didn't help that Angel looked like the man that tried to kill her. She was totally freaked out each time she saw him until it was told to her that Angel is Satan's twin brother, and that they are not the same person.

The attraction between them was almost instant, once Eve settled down and was able to see him as Angel and not Satan. Angel doesn't want to get too attached, especially after what happened to Beth at his brother's hands. But as he gets to know her and they have a few steamy nights together, he begins to see her as "old lady" material, but he still won't admit to having deeper feelings for her. It isn't until a club brother (Ink) starts showing interest in her, that Angel knows that he'll have to admit his feelings and "claim" her before someone else does.

There is so much more that I could say about the relationship between Eve and Angel, but I'll let you as readers find that out when you read the book. But I will say that the ending of the book, and how Eve left, will leave you wanting to next book right away to know what will happen between her and Angel.

4 Sniffs Review: OUTLAW by Amanda Lance

Title: Outlaw
Series: Wanted #1.5
Author: Amanda Lance
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Dark
Publisher: Limitless Publishing LLC
ASIN: B00J3DBH3Y
Release Date: March 17, 2014
Links: Goodreads ☆ Amazon

I shouldn’t have done that job.
I shouldn’t have stolen that girl.
And I sure as hell shouldn’t have fallen for her.

Charlie Hays knows two things: how to steal, and the red—the rage that keeps him going. In Wanted, when a last minute heist goes bad, he kidnaps the only witness, Addie Battes. But just when everyone begins to think he has gone and made the biggest mistake of his criminal career Charlie wonders if he hasn't made the best one.

Every love story has two sides…

OUTLAW is Charlie's version of Wanted. We see his side of the story and also get a more in depth look into the dynamics of the group.

I always love reading the male POV after having read the original book from the female POV. So I thought that OUTLAW was a real treat.

There was one thing that bothered me a little while reading, though. OUTLAW makes Charlie seem...I don't know...less intelligent than Addie's POV did in Wanted. He was always bashing on himself and how he's not that smart, and I just didn't like it.

Since this is Charlie's POV, I think I'm going to focus on him for this section.

Charlie's got a real temper, and in OUTLAW we get to see just how much "The Red" makes him close to losing it countless times. Only Addie is able to clear The Red away. He is fiercely protective of her, and he loves her very deeply. Charlie may be a criminal with a long list of offenses, and in many ways that makes him very dangerous. But when it comes to Addie, he is very loving and gentle. He has a good heart.

The villain is Wallace, who we met in Wanted. From Charlie's POV we really see how messed up (and probably insane) he is. He sees Charlie and Addie as being the ones at fault for him not getting his money and being fired. So he's going to make them pay for it.

One of the things I love about the male POV is seeing how the guy sees the girl. We see her through his eyes and his thoughts. Charlie really made my heart melt in OUTLAW. I really don't know what else to say about the romance between him and Addie through his eyes, but I'll give it a try and hopefully not give anything away.

Charlie doesn't see himself as deserving of Addie's love. Reading his POV in OUTLAW after what happens in Conviction, really makes it easier to understand his thoughts and temperament in the second book.

He sees Addie as a good girl with everything going for her, and that he would only mess her life up more than he already has. He's constantly fighting with himself over what he feels in his heart and what he knows in his mind is the right thing to do.

4 Sniffs Review: CONVICTION by Amanda Lance

Title: Conviction
Series: Wanted #2
Author: Amanda Lance
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Dark
Publisher: Limitless Publishing LLC
ASIN: B00FNC3KL6
Release Date: October 4, 2013

Falling in love with each other was unlikely.
Surviving their adventure was doubtful.
Living without each other: impossible.

For Addie Battes and Charlie Hays, a couple who defied all odds, life on land should be a breeze--except, for the fact that their newest challenge may include life, without each other...

To everyone else it looks like she's leaving for college, but for Addie Battes, it's much more. She and her kidnapper Charlie Hays have found a way to be together and elude authorities. Yet fairytale romances aside; life isn't easy with schoolwork, roommates, and meddling FBI agents. And balancing acts threaten to fall when violent competitors rise up to put Charlie and the guys out of business.

Addie soon realizes that keeping her relationship with Charlie a secret is the least of her problems, especially with Charlie's unfounded suspicions and jealousies. When misunderstandings surface, Addie's worst fears come to fruition.

Desperate and alone, she is faced with a choice: try to find her own happy ending, or fight to make Charlie a part of hers.

Addie Battes leaves for college in California to be with her former kidnapper and current boyfriend, Charlie Hays. She's really happy to finally be with Charlie with some semblance of normalcy, but all the half truths are starting to weigh her down, and Charlie's suspicions and jealousy over her friendship with FBI Agent Adam Harpsten aren't helping. Everything starts unraveling when a violent competitor of Ben Walden's hijacks one of their airport runs. When the final straw breaks and Charlie is arrested, Addie has to choose whether she will try to move on from him, or try to figure out a way to keep Charlie in her life.

CONVICTION has some themes from Shakespeare's Othello in that we have Addie and Charlie who have a secret relationship (from everyone but their group), and someone working behind the scenes to split them up, not to mention the attack from the rival group that could be compared to the Turks attack in Othello. There are more comparisons I could make, but then I'd give away a lot of the story, so I'll leave it at that. It was also cool how Addie's roommate, who is a theater major, was acting in the college's production of Othello.

In Wanted, where they were in a secluded environment, we were shown a lot of the positive traits of Addie and Charlie, but in CONVICTION, we see more of the negative traits. While on the Diyu in Wanted, the feel of the story was more...um...dreamlike? or fantastical? in that they are, mostly, alone and they are able to just be and enjoy their time together. But then in CONVICTION reality sets in, and everything becomes complicated.

The Guy: He loves Addie very deeply, but doesn't feel like he deserves her love in return. He's easily jealous, and his temper can be explosive. Addie seems to be the only thing that can calm him down. He has a driving need to protect her from everything that his job could do to her, so he keeps her out of the loop about anything concerning what he does on his jobs.

The Girl: Addie has gotten pretty good at lying in order to protect Charlie and their relationship. But all the half truths are getting bunched up and she starts making little slips. Her friendship with FBI Agent Adam Harpsten is the main source for Charlie's jealousy, but she won't let him dictate who she can be friends with. But when Adam starts poking around again, she begins resenting Adam and his friendship. Addie also starts to question her future with Charlie, when she realizes that they may never be able to have a normal relationship, may never be able to get married, or have children.

Addie and Charlie have a lot more complications in CONVICTION than they did in Wanted. Lies and half truths are thrown out like candy at a parade. Addie has to lie to her family about her relationship with Charlie and her real reasons for moving so close to where she was found in California. She has to lie to the FBI to protect Charlie and her friends. And she has to lie to her new roommate to keep her from learning too much about Charlie and possibly getting him caught.

But the real problems begin when they both start lying to each other. Charlie is keeping things from her about what he's doing for his job, in order to protect her in case something goes wrong, giving her plausible deniability, but that only makes her more anxious and paranoid. Addie is keeping her friendship with Adam a secret from Charlie and the interactions between them that he does know about cause extreme jealousy and rage in him. So all of this combined is crumbling their trust and security in each other, inviting in the whispers of those who want them separated for good.

But in the end, their devotion to each other wins out and their relationship is stronger than ever. But that may not be enough to keep them together if something happens to take them away from each other permanently.
