CHANGES & MERGER

Hello! I'm currently in the process of merging my 3 sites to make it easier for me to keep everything up.

So all book tours that have a ROMANCE title will be posted to the new site instead of here on Booksniffer Book Reviews. All non-romance titles will still be posted here.

Those posts can be found here: http://loveineverypage.weebly.com/

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it'll be better in the long run.

He was a pig, a jerk, selfish, callous, crude, tactless, prone to outbursts and gorgeous. The kind of gorgeous where you didn’t even attempt to hide the fact that you were staring. I knew the type: His entire life he has coasted on his good looks, artificial charm, and sex appeal. Everyone wanted to be on him or be him. I had been hurt by jerks like him before. He was like those guys but far worse.

I was the unfortunate sucker to be offered a gig I desperately needed as his live-in chef for a Summer in the Hamptons. But I wasn’t like the other girls, the models and socialites who came through the revolving door of his bedroom. I would bite the bullet, take the gig, deal with his sexist comments, his expectation that I would fawn over him, and have no problem letting the door hit my ass on the way out when I was done.

But then something unexpected happened that changed everything and I realized that there maybe more to him than the labels I had affixed to his character. Maybe. But if he really wanted me, it wasn’t going to be easy, not like everything else in his life. He was going to have to work, I was going to make him miserable. He was going to hate wanting me just as much as I hated myself for wanting him back.

Heath Hillabrand: International Supermodel. Womanizer.

THE GIST: Sadie is a personal chef who is out of a job once her current employer is traded to a new team. She goes to her friend Mindy for help, and ends up with a job working for Heath Hillabrand, a playboy super model. He's just like all the other guys who seems to gravitate toward her and she's determined not to fall for his charms. But when an accident leaves Heath bedridden, Sadie stays to help him and learns that there is more to him than she thought. Only problem is his past keeps knocking. Will it tear them apart just when they are finally finding how they really feel for each other?

WHAT I LIKED: I think my favorite part of GORGEOUS ROTTEN SCOUNDREL was the banter between Sadie and Heath. There are times when you think that they absolutely hate each other, then all of a sudden they are going as each other for a completely different reason (hint hint). It's kind of this love/hate thing for a while that really keeps the reader on their toes. The chemistry between these two is so explosive that it's nearly sizzling right out of the pages.

WHAT I DISLIKED: There wasn't much that I didn't like. If I had to say one thing it would be Illy. I didn't like her character at all. I think that Sadie's nickname for her is really appropriate, she is Gross and I liked how Sadie dealt with her. I mean, you can tell that Illy doesn't care a thing about Heath, except for getting into his pants. Ugh.

Sadie: A personal chef to the stars. Was the personal chef to a NBA player until her was traded. Went to her friend Mindy to see if she knew anyone who need her services. She gets a job working for Heath for the summer. She's immediately put off by Heath because he's just like all the other guys she's ever been involved with. Even though she feels an attraction toward Heath, she tries to deny it and stay professional. But as they get to know each other and respect each other, her feelings begin to change.

Heath: International super model. Playboy. Has a carefree and easy attitude. Has no real friends and his foster family lives in another state. Sadie becomes his best friend as they get to know each other. He thinks that she's uptight and needs to loosen up a little. Her behavior with him leaves him confused. Knows how to play the guitar and has a beautiful voice. Urges Sadie to do more with her career than be a personal chef for other.

Mindy: Sadie's friend and Heath's manager. She got Sadie the job interview with Heath when she lost her previous job.

Illy: A super model who has a sexual relationship with Heath. Sadie dislikes her from first sight. Only shows up at Heath's house when she want in his pants. Didn't care at all while he was recovering and bedridden.

Like I mentioned earlier, Sadie gets the job working as Heath's personal chef for the summer. They get off to a bad start right from the interview, when he's less than professional. Sadie feels like she is a magnet for jerks, and quickly sees those same qualities in Heath. He keeps trying to get her to loosen up and let go, but his advances just wind her up more to the point where their attraction just kind of explodes. Those are the moments when they cross the line between employee and employer.

Things change between them though, when Heath is bedridden after suffering serious injuries in a drunken car accident. They get to know each other, the begin respecting one another, and they become friends. That attraction is still there between them, simmering. But Sadie isn't ready to accept her feeling and had trouble trusting Heath with what she knows of his past with women.

All of this eventually comes to a point of no return. They're like a supernova ready to explode. The heat is almost unbearable. The question that's always in your mind is whether they will make it through, or is one or both of them going to get burned?

These two are one of my favorite couples, and I really wish that there were more to their story. I'm glad that this book had a happily ever after, but I was also kind of sad to see the end of their story.

I liked looking at him. He thought I was just watching him speak, but really I would just drink him up, and I hoped that might be enough. It's kind of like how you crave a giant, delicious piece of gooey chocolate cake, but then feel satisfied after a bite because it's so decadent. Except we all know the truth: only skinny bitches like Illy or people on television who never have time to eat are satisfied after one bite. No, what happens to actual humans is you fight the temptation, you hold out on touching the cake, until all you can think about is the fucking cake, and then you tell yourself "just one bite" and then you take one bite, and then you wake up four hours later: in a back alley, 1000 calories fatter, with a chocolate mustache and an empty plate resting on your breasts.

Heath is chocolate cake. Staring at him did not squelch my cravings, they made me want to devour him.
